Existing and Upcoming Projects

1. Access to Finance: We advocate for policies and programs to increase access to affordable credit and capital for women in the fisheries sector. Through engagement with government and private financial institutions, we aim to empower women to invest in fishery businesses and enhance their economic resilience.
2. Fish innovation Center: We are establishing a demo and incubation center to showcase innovative industry technologies and stimulate entrepreneurship among women and youth. This center will provide valuable resources, including information, extension services, and market linkages, to support the development of sustainable fish businesses.
3. National and International Recognition: We strive to elevate the profile of women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the fisheries and aquaculture sector. By strengthening networks, promoting inclusivity, and standardizing product quality, we aim to position UNWFO as a leading advocate for gender equality and sustainable development.
4. Capacity Building and Empowerment: We are committed to building the capacity of women and youth along the fish value chain. Through targeted training programs and partnerships with other civil society organizations, Development Partners, Government, and members of the organization, we empower members with technical expertise, business skills, and opportunities for meaningful participation in decision-making processes.
